Rock music has been around for more than 50 years, and it’s now one of the most popular genres in the world. Rock originated in the late 1950s when a group of rebellious teenagers from London started playing together at the 100 Club in London. With the help of the emerging British garage rock scene, rock music quickly spread to the United States, where it became the dominant style of music in the 1960s, followed by the rise of the electric blues movement in the 1970s.
